It's official!

I suck at housekeeping! I have all the right ideas, I just can't implement them! So frustrating too! I'm sure part of it is I just don't have enough room to put things. Or maybe I just am a terrible housekeeper!LOL! When we walk in the house we take our shoes off...so guess what is piled up by the front door? Yup...all kinds of shoes! UGH!!! I think I need to start a chore chart for myself...I feel like such a 6 year old! I know it's not fair to dh for him to work all teh hours he does and then to come home to complete chaos! But, I am going to do better..I AM!!! I just need something to make me accountable! Guess I could pretend my mother is coming, huh?

Trust me, I sure can relate to what you're feeling and going through. We have the same issue with shoes at our house, too!! I've implented a new shoe rule....ONLY everyday shoes (sneakers, work boots, slippers) are allowed to remain in the mud/laundry room. All other shoes must be stored in the resective owner's closet!! I also invested in a shoe organizer for each of the kids closet's. It's helped tremendously, but my house is still a chaotic mess!! And by the way, it's about time you updated your blog!! LOL :oP

Ha ha..so funny you are! I know I am so behind on it! Maybe I'll update it today..you know after I work at the school, drop kids and soccer or dance, make dinner, do laundry...you know I really need a 27 hour day to be added!

I understand where you are coming from. You could try to put a tote in your hall closet if you have one. Then it is out of the way.

Hey... you sound exactly like me. I once told my dh that I felt like I was in a whirlpool spinning around, almost ready to drown with no way to get out of the suction. He said, and I quote, "Just relax and swim." That compassion still almost chokes me up. I am still in that whirlpool....with too little room in my home and even less time spent on my house. I did find a great site; flylady.net. If I would implement their ideas and format, I probably could get a grip...... who knows. I wish you the best!!!!!
